Dr. Joanne Zhung, MD, DABR, is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Advanced Radiation Oncology Services at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in New York.

Dr. Zhung brings compassionate, cutting-edge oncology therapies into the community by offering patients enrollment in clinical trials and advanced radiotherapy techniques. She was previously involved as a co-investigator in the breast cancer, DCISionRT registry trial and currently serves as co-investigator at Montefiore Nyack Hospital for clinical trials in regional nodal radiation in breast and SBRT(stereotactic body radiation therapy) for lung cancer. She completed a research fellowship as a medical student at MSKCC in head and neck cancers. She has presented at international radiation oncology meetings on lung SBRT and published numerous articles in international journals and books chapters in radiation oncology. She also has extensive expertise in the latest radiation techniques and offers treatment utilizing 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT/SABR and brachytherapy.

Dr. Zhung received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and completed her radiation oncology training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA with a unique combined training program at Brown University in Providence, RI. Before joining Advanced Radiation Oncology Services, she was a radiation oncologist at Morristown Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center and Hackettstown Medical Center in New Jersey, part of Atlantic Health.

Dr. Zhung is proficient in simple Korean and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new experiences with her young family.
