Dr. James K. Gerstley completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a residency in Radiation Oncology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He moved to Orlando, FL where he practiced for ten years and co-founded The Center for Cancer Care, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Gerstley has been a pioneering practitioner of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy since the FDA approved it in 1996. He moved with his wife, Linda, and four children to Rockland County in 1998 to help design and run Advanced ROS, the new state-of-the-art radiation center in Nyack, NY. Dr. Gerstley is one of the country’s most experienced practitioners of prostate brachytherapy, having treated over two thousand patients with this procedure. Dr. Gerstley has been the recipient of the Castle Connelly Top Doctor award from 2015 to present. He is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and is on staff at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
