The Advanced ROS office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. Treatment times may extend beyond these
hours. Two physicians, Dr. Gerstley and Dr. Torrey, work together
closely to provide you the care you need. Scheduling issues may
make it necessary to see one or the other physician in the event
you require immediate attention. Physician consultation and follow-up
appointments are made through the front desk staff (Marilyn or Michelle).
Appointments for treatment planning (CT simulation) or treatment
times are made with your radiation therapist or Chief Therapist
(Andrew). If you are not sure what your next appointment entails
or have any questions pertaining to your care, please speak to the
nursing staff (Chris or Tootie).
If you call our office (845-727-0828) after hours,
you will be connected to our answering service. The service will
contact the physician on call, who will return your call. If your
concerns can wait until morning, please call our office directly.
If it is an emergency and you require immediate medical assistance,
please go directly to the nearest emergency room.
Treatment times may extend beyond our regular office
hours. We will try to give you appointment times that work best
with your schedule. Please understand that many patients are receiving
treatment and that there may be a limited number of available of
treatment times at the start of your therapy. The technical aspects
of your treatment might require a limited option for treatment times
as well. If you require coordination of your treatment time with
chemotherapy, we will work closely with your Medical Oncologist
and make the appropriate arrangements.
